India discard DInesh Karthik scored a brilliant 150 but could not prevent Tamil Nadu from conceding an inevitable lead to Rajasthan who are headed towards retaining the Ranji trophy Championship for the second year in a row. Tamil Nadu who were in trouble yesterday at 66 for 3 were bowled out in their first innings for 295. Karthik’s 150 came in 280 balls with 21 fours and a six.
For Rajasthan, the chief wicket taker was once again pacer Rituraj Singh who took four wickets. The other two pacers – Pankaj Singh and Sumit Mathur took a couple of wickets each. Rajasthan finished the fourth day’s play at 21 for no loss.
